Christian Spiritual Mentorship and Direction is one-on-one, consistent (normally monthly) sessions from a theologically-trained Spiritual Director. During the monthly mentorship time with the director, the primary focus is on the individual’s personal relationship with God, his/her prayer life, and discerning how God is working in your everyday life.

A Spiritual Mentor can help a leader discern what is needed during the normal ebb and flow of ministry life. During times of fruitfulness, a Spiritual Mentor can hold a person accountable for keeping a consistent prayer life. During times of dryness, a Spiritual Mentor can help the person discern their life and ministry and to guide the person to hold tight to the truths of God’s grace.

Leaders have a habit of ignoring their own needs in order to care for the needs of others. Unfortunately, we don’t always realize the slow depletion of our own emotional, psychological, physical, and mental health. A Spiritual Mentor can help discern where God is calling you to respond to the times of rest and the times of work in order to avoid burnout and fatigue in ministry.

Current and potential leaders need encouragement, refreshment, and support as they work in the vineyard for Christ. Spiritual Mentorship empowers leaders by recognizing their God-given gifts and directing how to best utilize them in their leadership position.
